Air Zoo is a one-of-a-kind aerospace museum located in southern Michigan. Here you’ll find two buildings, The Flight Innovation Center and The Flight Discovery Center. The Flight Innovation Center houses aircraft from both World Wars, the Apollo space program as well as Cold War era aircraft including the only SR-71B Blackbird on display in the world. As you make your way toward the second building, there are many aircraft on display along the paved path.

The Flight Discovery Center has a section devoted to women in aviation and more than 40 aircraft including a Saturn V Rocket Engine and homebuilt planes. The Flight Discovery Center also is home to several active restoration projects and the staff is very helpful and more than willing to answer any questions you might have.

I was in Grand Rapids for three days for a project and decided to get into town a day early to come check out Air Zoo. I spent approximately 5 hours here and felt like that was just enough time to see everything that was available the day I visited.
